At EcoLattice, ideas often begin outside a planned process. They may emerge during testing, through a conversation in the studio, from a question raised by a client, a failed prototype, a body posture we keep noticing, or a small detail in the way people interact with products.
That is where Tangent comes from.
A Space for Design, Comfort, and Systems
Tangent is EcoLattice’s space for thoughts, observations, and reflections that sit around design, comfort, sustainability, manufacturing, materials, and the future of how things are made. It is a place where we step slightly away from the product and look at the larger systems that shape it.
Here, we will talk about innovation, responsible manufacturing, ergonomic thinking, design processes, experiments, collaborations, and the ideas that continue to influence our work. Some pieces will be technical. Some will be reflective. Some may simply begin with a question we could not stop thinking about.
Behind Tangent
Tangent is written and curated by Asmita Yadav, a Textile designer from NID Ahmedabad, with an interest in materials, surfaces, and design storytelling.
At EcoLattice, we believe materials are not passive. They carry decisions, behaviours, systems, and consequences. Through Tangent, we want to open up those conversations and share the thinking that often happens behind the scenes.
Because sometimes, the most important ideas are found slightly off-centre.
Welcome to Tangent !
